After battling with infertility for over four years, Lindsay and her husband were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Aspyn Jane. One month from the day she was born, Lindsay went to nurse her and found her unresponsive. Aspyn unexpectedly passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome that night. Their lives were turned upside down and to say Lindsay and her family were beyond brokenhearted would be a massive understatement. Yet, through that pain and sorrow, God redeemed the loss of their little girl and have allowed an incredible ministry to be born. It’s their goal to allow this tragedy to fuel them to help spare others from the pain that they’ve walked through.
Thought this conversation, Lindsay shares her inspiring story of trust in God amidst the loss of Aspyn. Additionally, she shares incredible wisdom for live, leadership and following Jesus that apply to each of us. Her story is an incredible reminder of how we can trust God in the midst of every season of life. As we trust Him, we can know that He will work though all situations for the good of His people and for His glory.

Why It Matters
Although you may not be able to identify with Lindsay’s story of losing a child, every leader has struggled with loss. It’s part of life. As Lindsay shares her story, you’ll hear this persistent theme of saying yes to the invitation of Jesus to step into new things. She gives a reminder that God is still at work, even when it’s hard to see. And in the middle of it all, we can trust Him. When we continue to put our faith in Him, He really does work all things for the good of those who are called... and that means you!
You’ll also hear some great wisdom about the myth of balance. So often, we hear about the need to have balance. Well, it’s bogus. When we aim for that, we end up segmenting and compartmentalizing life. And when we do, we get burnt out that much sooner. Lindsay shares about how she has integrated the ministry she is called to do into every part of life while still keeping clear priorities. This has allowed her to be all that much clearer in knowing what God has called her to do.
How to Learn More
Lindsay would love to connect with you. You’ll be able to find her online through a variety of platforms.
Additionally, there were two great resources that Lindsay mentioned. First, she spoke of the the Owlet Monitor that her organization provides. It’s a monitor that tracks your babies heart rate and oxygen. You can learn more about the Owlet Monitor on their website.
Lindsay also mentioned a powerful book by Levi Lusko, titled Through the Eyes of a Lion; Facing Incredible Pain, Finding Incredible Power. This book shares came out of Levi and his wife losing their daughter 5 days before Christmas. In it, Pastor Lusko shares the eye-opening truth of the power of hope in a world that is often filled with pain, suffering, and loss. He says, “This book isn’t a manual for grieving, but a manifesto for high-octane living, and through it I want you to see that God made you for a purpose. There is a wild and wonderful calling on your life, a microphone in your hands. Jesus wants you to look at the adventure of your life through His eyes, the eyes of a Lion.”
Finally, you heard Lindsay talk about this calling that came out of the loss of her daughter Aspyn. You also heard her share about the clarity of priorities she has in her life. I believe this kind of focus allows for leaders to be crystal clear on their calling and how to best go after it. I have created a FREE resource called The Track to High Impact. This is a guided study with a mix of lesson material and worksheets to help you gain that kind of clarity. It will help you get clear on your story and how God can work through it. You’ll also get crystal clear how to keep your priorities in line and take action on the things that matter the most.
